MARISA'S STUDENTS: CLASSES AT HOME week 10

 

WEEK 10

We are in Phase One, but be patient. It doesn’t mean the end of the crisis although the long-awaited “liberation day” is nearer but the lockdown extension will continue during 4 phases.

Now, small businesses can reopen, we are allowed to move round the province and the most important, we can meet relatives and friends.

If we don’t want the propagation of the epidemic, we must adapt the network of our social contacts. We have to be responsible of ourselves and avoid being with more than ten people at the same time, either outside or in someone’s home but social distancing measures must be respected between people who don’t live together.

We are better than we were last week but remember that timetables for walking, riding and running are the same. Avoid crowds and it is still recommended the use of face masks. Do you wear it when you go out? And gloves? How many times do you wash your hands a day?

At the end of June (when the year at high school finishes), if the epidemiological curve follows the same trend as until now, we would be in the so-called “new normal life”. I am looking forward to that time, and you?

 

VERY IMPORTANT: if you failed 2nd evaluation, you have other opportunity to pass. Remember, the exam is on FRIDAY, 22nd MAY. If it is your case, open the attached documents 01 and 02.

B/ PROJECT: A POSTER OF WORLD RECORDS.

Using the information you found on 20th May, prepare a poster similar to the one on the book page 89.

PROCEDURE:

-      Write your name, surname, class number and group at top right.

-      Include pictures of each record.

-      Write about 4 records but no more than 150/200 words in only one page. I know you are going to copy from the Internet, but choose sentences that you understand and need. Sometimes you should look for synonyms or easier structures.

-      Be careful with the kind of vocabulary you use. New words must be written in red colour and you have to include them in a second page of your project in a list of vocabulary with the translation but you can’t use more than 10 new words.

-      The project must be sent as an attached document written with Office Word 2007 or similar at Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. Necesita tener JavaScript habilitado para poder verlo.  You cannot send an image or PDF because in this case, I have to correct on the text itself.

-      In “asunto” as ALWAYS, write name, surname, class number and group, please.

 

 The deadline is on Tuesday, 26th May but if you have it before, send it as soon as possible.
